Day 1 in Paris
August 21st
It has been so busy lately, when we got to Paris we saw huge buildings! The tallest houses I’ve ever seen!
One morning we ate baguettes with creamy butter, (the best butter I’ve ever had). I had strawberry juice but to me, it tasted like a smoothie. That evening we went to the Eiffel Tower and the River Seine (sehn). The Eiffel Tower is made completely out of metal (iron), it has either 1,665 or 1,652 steps. I read one set of numbers and a tour guide stated a different set of numbers. How will I ever know which is right? You can no longer climb all the way to the top to count them all(!!) The tower was all made by Gustave Eiffel and completed in 1889. He also made the inside frame that supports the Statue of Liberty. We had jambon-fromage (ham and cheese) and chocolat (chocolate) crepes.

P.S. There was a lot of trash around the Eiffel Tower, which was surprising.
