A Quick Trip to London
We went to London on the Eurostar train that went under the English Channel. We were 250 feet underwater! We also took the London Underground (a Tube or train) to travel throughout London. I was so excited when we went to the London Eye (a giant Ferris Wheel) and saw Big Ben and the river Thames. It was not as clean as the rivers I am used to seeing in Montana. Surprisingly, there was a lot of homeless people but so many buildings. It was sad to see some people sleeping on the sidewalk and in garbage bags. Later on, we went to Platform 9 3/4. We waited in line for about an hour and then enjoyed an afternoon tea.
During afternoon tea, I felt a bit like an English princess. Bam and I tried chocolate tea, sandwiches, and a lot of sugar (macarons, cupcakes, eclairs and of course, tea). I hope to do it again!
